APC40 mkII bietet eine 5x8 Clip-Launch Matrix mit RGB Beleuchtung, die zum Experimentieren einlädt. Mit diesen 40 Pads lassen sich Clips starten, virtuelle Instrumente spielen, PlugIns steuern oder Songs arrangieren. Die RGB Beleuchtung liefert dabei ein visuelles Feedback und zeigt den aktuellen Clip Status an - der ständige Blick zum Computer während der Performance entfällt. Die Beleuchtung der Clips kann nach Wunsch farbkodiert werden, um etwa einzelne Tracksegmente farblich zusammenzufassen.
