Die Amaran-LED-Reihe von Aputure wurde mit dem Ziel geschaffen, eine tragbare LED-Leuchte mit hoher Qualität zu schaffen. Die Amaran Tri-8 ist mit ihren 888 Dioden auf der Größe eines iPads ein helles Amaran-Licht.Ihr säuberlich gearbeitetes Wärmeleitsystem mit einer Aluminium-Platte und Kühlfinnen auf schlankem Korpus verhelfen ihr zu einem maximalen Kühleffekt. Dabei ist die Lampe beinahe unzerstörbar: Das Gehäuse aus Flugzeugaluminium sorgt für für hervorragende Belüftung bei großer Stabilität, während die LED zusätzlich mit einem Polycarbonat-Überzug gesichert sind.
