Bafang Motor Tuning (legal)

You have an ebike equipped with a Bafang motor? Feel it is not assisting you enough? You had to replace the controller and need to calibrate the new controller? I can help you tune the way the motor behaves/feels by increasing or reducing the assistance level and the power delivery (more or less aggressive).
However, I will not change the power of the motor and will not increase the assistance speed - Will remain 100% within legal framework.

Bafang motors tend to be set so that:
- Level 1 : motor provides 80% the level of power of what your legs provide
- Level 2: motor provides 120% the level of power of what your legs provide
- Level 3: motor provides 200% the level of power of what your legs provide
- Level 4: motor provides 300% the level of power of what your legs provide
- Level 5: motor provides 400% the level of power of what your legs provide

I can increase this to 500% (will still deliver legal power but you will need to press less on the pedal for same output as before so will feel easier to pedal). Note that the motor will consume a bit more electricity so you should expect a slight reduction in range.

I can also adjust how fast or slow the motor helps, adjust the angle of the pedaling before the motor starts helping (see adjustable parameters in picture).

I can also reset the ODO meter for new display but will only adjust on the way UP (not down) so that if you get a new display, the display will reflect the actual mileage of the motor.

Adjusting the parameters to your taste should take no more than 30 minutes including a few testing to make sure you are happy with the way the bike feels.

NOTE: I do not rent the tool and software but proceed to the adjustments with you based on a mutually convenient place and time.
