Wurde eine Person von einer Lawine verschüttet, kommt es auf jede Sekunde an. Die Entwickler von Mammut haben beim neuen Barryvox die Leistung nochmals extrem verbessert. Das Lawinengerät verfügt über eine Suchstreifenbreite von 70 Metern. Dank dem kreisförmigen Empfangsfeld lässt sich diese effektiv nutzen. Das visuelle Interface zeigt Distanz, Richtung und Anzahl der Verschütteten. Barryvox garantiert auch Sicherheit für die Retter. Stellt das Gerät vier Minuten lang keine Bewegung fest, schlägt es Alarm. Das robuste Lawinengerät ist zudem auch mit Handschuhen sicher bedienbar und hält Temperaturen von -25° bis +45° Celsius stand.
