Die Lumix GH5 kommt mit einem FourThirds-MOS-Sensor mit 20 Megapixeln und ohne Tiefpassfilter. Die 4K Video-Funktion ist jetzt noch leistungsfähiger und liefert interne Aufzeichnung bis 60p bei 4:2:2 8Bit oder bis 30p 4:4:2 10Bit ohne Crop. (4K 60p 4:4:2 10Bit nur über HDMI auf externen Recorder). In Full-HD 1080 schafft die GH5 bis max. 180 Bilder pro Sekunde – dies entspricht einer 7.5-fachen Zeitlupe. Im Foto-Modus sind 6K-Fotos mit einer Bildrate von 30 Bildern pro Sekunde möglich, 4K-Fotos bis 60 Bilder, 20MP-Serien bis max. 12 B/s. Der neue 5-Achsen-Stabilisator bringt bis zu fünf EV-Stufen und ermöglicht erstaunlich ruhiges Filmen aus der Hand. Der Hybrid-Kontrast-Autofokus (DFD) hat 225 Messfelder und bietet Gesichtserkennung inkl. Tracking. Professionelle Features wie Focus-Peaking erleichtern das manuelle Fokussieren. Neben vielen weiteren Funktionen ist auch Bluetooth LE und WiFi (5GHz) an Bord.
V-Log L ist aktiviert.
