Wie bei der Sennheiser ew100 G2 ist auch die G3 die in Europa am häufigsten eingesetzte Funkstrecke und lässt sich ebenfalls für Image-Videos, Dokumentationen, Live-Mitschnitte, Interviews und auch Film benutzen.
Der Sender wird mit dem Mikrofon verbunden und an Gürtel oder Hosentasche festgeclipt. Der Empfänger wird per XLR- oder Klinke-Kabel mit der Kamera verbunden und kann auf dem Blitzschuh befestigt werden. Einschalten und der Ton wird kabellos und perfekt übertragen.
